Mina Casillas was born in Los Angeles, California and has worked with children for the past 10 years. In 2017, She graduated from CSU Northridge with a B.A. in child & adolescent development and a minor in psychology. She was a student worker for CSUN’s early child care center and also ran the child development club on campus. For many years, she worked closely with Special Needs Network, a nonprofit organization that helps underserved families in LA, as a volunteer, camp counselor, camp behaviorist, and a 1-on-1 behavioral technician providing services to children diagnosed with autism and down syndrome. Most recently, she worked at UCLA’s early care & education center as an assistant lead teacher with children as young as 2 months to 5 years old before joining the St. Anastasia Catholic School family last year.
