Enrichment Classes

Flag Football

DK and K – This class is all about getting students to move, play and have fun with each other. In this class, students do flag pulling games, practice throwing and catching, compete in football obstacle courses and play in mini football games!

1st-3rd – This class is for students to learn some basic fundamentals about flag football, get exercise and have fun! Students learn to run routes, work on passing, practice flag pulling, learn positions, do competitive drills, and play a lot of flag football games!

Soccer

DK and K – This class welcomes kids to the exciting sport of soccer! In this class, students compete in fun soccer drills and movements including obstacle courses, soccer games, and goalkeeping. This class is all about having fun in a developmentally appropriate designed course.

1st – 3rd – This class is for beginners and experienced players. Students compete in a variety of fun drills and games while moving through obstacle courses, soccer challenges, and learning techniques. Each class ends with a game of soccer in this upbeat hour of fun!

Basketball

DK and K – This class is a developmentally appropriate class where students work with smaller hoops and balls. In giving students this type of equipment to work on their dribbling, passing, and shooting, children find more enthusiasm for playing the game of basketball. Students practice basketball fundamentals in an upbeat environment of exciting drills and games.

1st – 3rd – This class is designed for students to work on fundamental basketball skills in an exciting and fun way. Students compete in drills, play games, and work on individual techniques in an upbeat environment where the focus is on having fun and enjoying the sport of basketball.

Woodworking

DK and K – This class is designed for students to begin to comfortably work with wood and tools. Each week, students work on building challenges like building something for Spiderman to reach the greatest height possible. Beyond the building challenges, students also work on longer term projects like trains or houses that they then paint and bring home!

Lego Engineering

DK and K – This class is a building and engineering class. Students work on building challenges like making a bridge, a mode of transportation, or a place to live. We ask our students to think about what the user of these structures will need and want. Each week, there is a new challenge where students work by themselves or in small groups on accomplishing their goal. Some weeks, students will just have the time and space to make whatever they want!

1st – 3rd – This class is a building and engineering class. Students work on building challenges like making a bridge, a mode of transportation, or a place to live. We ask our students to think about what the user of these structures will need and want. Each week, there is a new challenge where students work by themselves or in small groups on accomplishing their goal and some weeks. Some weeks, students will also have the time and space to make whatever they want!
